the process by which the body decays following death, regarded among some Astronists as the natural or physical form and hence the only form of cosmosis as contrasted with the notion of the occurrence of a spiritual cosmic union.

ORIGINS AND ETYMOLOGY
Astro-English: from Astronese, the word decomposition possesses the same meaning as it does in general non-Astronist but is applied to the context of the phenomena of cosmosis, namely the naturalistic view that the pinnacle of cosmosis is the decomposition of one’s body back into the Earth and hence reuniting with The Cosmos naturally rather than spiritually.
