Cometan is an astronomer from Lancashire who has founded a new philosophy and religion which he has named Astronism. Lancashire has a long history of producing of the world's most famous astronomers, Jeremiah Horrocks, he himself was born in Liverpool, Lancashire.
Astronomers are scientists who study space, the stars, and the structure of the universe (a branch known as cosmology). Cometan can be described as an astronomical philosopher; that is, a philosopher who contemplates the stars and space. Cometan is also a religious founder, best known for founding Astronism.
